Even though we are approaching the holiday season, these gifts are great for giving to a friend, family member or coworker life no matter what the occasion or relationship to you. The items on this list are small gifts of appreciation for those people in your life that you want to spend less than $20 on.
I put together this list based on my personal favorite products from 2017’s subscription box product selections and from purchases that I’ve made this year. I grown very fond of these brands and the products they curate. I also believe in their mission and want to show my support with no expectation of anything in return. All that I ask is that you share this gift guide with all of your friends and family so that we can spread the love this holiday season!
Datsusara Hemp Towel: This towel is naturally anti-microbial, absorbent, fast-drying, compact and extremely durable. It’s made using sustainable textiles, such as hemp, so it easily air dries between uses. I have the sport-sized towel in my gym bag and often use it to wipe my sweat or help clear sand off my face and out of my eyes. (Sport size, $15)
Eco-Candle Company Candles and Sprays: The Eco-Candle Company is an artisan candle and soap company that specializes in soy candles, handmade soap, natural bath & body products and linen sprays. Their candles are hand-crafted in Appleton, Wisconsin using natural U.S. grown soybeans and high-quality essential oils. My favorite scent is Eucalyptus Sage. (from $12)
Seeking Om Crystal Bracelet: Seeking Om is a brand that is near and dear to my heart because their mission is to spread love and healing through their crystal products. No matter what you’re struggling with right now, Seeking Om has a crystal bracelet to help you through it. I have the rose quartz one and rarely go a day without wearing it! (from $25)
Tree in a Box Kits: Using recycled, organic and recyclable materials, this tree seed kit makes the perfect small gift. This kit contains a packet of seeds, an organic and biodegradable peat pot, a soil pellet that expands to fill the pot when you add water, and an instruction booklet. These trees will grow to full size trees if you transplant them to a larger space, but if you keep your tree in a small pot the roots will be restricted from growing and the tree will remain small. ($6 per kit)
4EST Shades: Using sustainable materials like bamboo and wood from maple and cherry trees, these sunglasses are stylish, free from petroleum-based plastics and good for the earth. They have a variety of options for men and women, and they plant 2 trees for every pair of shades sold. (from $24.90)
Bambu Home Eco-friendly Utensil Sets: Bambu uses natural and low-impact materials whenever possible and ensures that results of food safety tests meet or exceed international standards. Each product is certified to be free of pesticides fertilizers, chemicals, glues and lacquers, and sourced from bamboo.
They offer a variety of high-quality products for dining, cooking, travel and garden. My favorite is the ‘Give it a Rest’ Utensil set featuring a spatula, spoon and slotted spoon all crafted from single pieces of bamboo. (from $13)
Healthy Green Box Subscription Box: The Healthy Green Box is a unique way to learn about different eco-friendly and toxin-free products such as home goods, snacks, seasonings, personal care items, and more. Each box contains 5-7 items from eco-conscious brands with products that are made from ingredients that are grown without pesticides, hormones or synthetic fertilizers.
Delivered monthly, each box is shipped using sustainable, biodegradable, recycled and recyclable materials. Not too keen on the whole committing to a subscription thing? No problem. You can subscribe for a month and cancel, no questions asked. ($25.99 per month)
